Disney Homeschool Days

Did you know Disney puts on an event just for Homschoolers!  Say What?!  Sign this homeschool mama up!  

Although Disney hasn't announced their Homeschool Days for the calendar year of 2015 I wanted to be sure you knew a little bit more about this awesome opportunity for your homeschoolers.  

Walt Disney World normally holds their Homeschool Days twice a year.  They will usually offer one session in the Winter and one session in the Fall.  

Just for fun.... Let's take a look at a class description as well as pricing for the 2014 Fall event that Disney hosted.

This Fall, you and your family can discover the world of theatrical entertainment when you attend the presentation, "Healthy Living: Living with the Land at Epcot" on Thursday, October 2, 2014. In this special presentation by a member of the Disney Horticulture team at The Land Pavilion, students will take an in-depth look at hydroponic gardening, the benefits of growing their own food, and much more. 

Some other classes for the Fall 2014 session included learning what it takes to be a part of a modern day production at Disney's Hollywood Studios. 

Families can enroll in several Disney classes during their visit; each additional class costs $30 (prices from Fall 2014).

Now let's talk savings!

Homeschool families are also eligible for specially-priced tickets at Walt Disney World!  WooHoo!

Let's look at an example from 2014  

Gate Prices for a 3Day Magic Your Way Ticket (Visit 1 park per day)
Children's Ticket (age 3-9):  $226
Adult Ticket (age 10+):  $246

Homeschool rate for 3Day Magic Your Way Ticket per person:  $154.75

Yea that's right $154.75 for a 3 day Magic Your Way Ticket, Amazing!  Let it soak in.

Oh wait... there's more!

Gate Prices for a 4Day Park Hopper Ticket (Visit any of the 4 main theme parks per day)
Children's Ticket (age 3-9):  $355
Adult Ticket (age 10+):  $377

During Disney Homeschool Days, a 4-day hopper pass only costs $206.69 per person!     

Something to consider that Disney did do for the 2014 year you could use your passes starting September, 25 - October 9, 2014 even though the official Disney Homeschool Days event isn't until October 2nd.
